The sandy silt loam is a high-quality soil for fruit growing, with the southwest-facing slopes warming up quickly in springtime, establishing well-grown trees and vines.
The small size of the farm allows us to grow with great care and attention to detail, with a promising first harvest in 2025.
Willington Press is a family-run fruit farm in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. The orchard began in 2021 and the vineyard in 2023, now totalling six acres of apples and grapes.
The land has a deep-rooted fruit-growing tradition, with Willington best known for its apples, along with berries, plums and damsons. But grapes are a new one. We might be the only growers of Bacchus in the region.
Employing local skilled workers, buying machinery from local suppliers, and conserving this farm as a productive green space; Willington Press is part of the Cheshire community and a proud representative of British farming.
